导赏 叶小钢为小提琴、打击乐与管弦乐团所作的协奏曲《峨眉》就是为陆威与胡胜男这对令人艳羡的乐坛伉俪量身打造的,表面上那些描绘崇山峻岭的音符背后,全是如高山流水一般的柔情。两位独奏家此前都曾单独受邀与中国爱乐乐团合作,此次终于等来了二人携手登台,对于听众来说也会是全新的感受。

跟上半场的曲目类似,我们同样能够在拉赫玛尼诺夫的交响舞曲里听到华丽的打击乐器演奏。相比作曲家的交响曲略显厚重的格局,交响舞曲听起来更加清新愉悦。它是作曲家临终前的最后一部音乐作品,却仿佛是献给世人的一份礼物。他一生以忧伤面对世界,却在生命的最后以壮丽的赞美诗留下背影,这部作品为拉赫玛尼诺夫的人生画上了一个耐人寻味的句号。(徐尧,乐评人)

柏林德意志交响乐团终身首席、柏林爱乐乐团客座首席、全球华人乐团首席、欧洲华人节日乐团创始人、中国组织部“千人计划”专家、广州星海音乐学院特聘教授。

陆威3岁开始随父亲陆中放学习小提琴,5岁师从中央音乐学院王治隆教授,此后三次获得北京市少儿小提琴比赛一等奖。1990年以优异成绩考入中央音乐学院附小,1993年考入附中。1995年起,师从著名小提琴教育家、演奏家林耀基教授。1993年,先后获得第一届中央音乐学院小提琴比赛少年组第一名、中国作品演奏奖及第五届全国小提琴比赛少年组第一名。

在校学习期间,陆威曾多次出访美国、日本、新加坡、马来西亚、澳大利亚、香港、澳门等国家和地区,并多次参加世界大师访华交流活动,深受帕尔曼、斯特恩、阿卡多、祖克曼等名家赏识。1994年当选中国十大杰出少年,1994、1995、1997、1998年四次获中央音乐学院“傅成贤”奖学金。1997年,世界著名小提琴大师安妮·索菲·穆特访华演出期间,在聆听了陆威的演奏后,当即决定资助他作为安妮·索菲·穆特基金会(Anne-Sophie Mutter Circle of Friends Foundation /Freundeskreis Anne-Sophie Mutter Stiftung e.V.)的首位青年艺术家赴德留学深造。

1999年起,陆威活跃于国际音乐舞台。1999年7月,他成为意大利Siena国际音乐节(Accademia Musicale Chigiana)自创办以来首位同时获得三项奖学金的青年演奏家,并得到市长接见。在欧洲深造期间,陆威曾多次得到小提琴大师的指点,如里奇、伊戈尔·奥伊斯特拉赫、乌托·乌季、伊达·亨德尔、中提琴大师巴什梅特等。在奥地利萨尔斯堡国际音乐节上,他被赞誉为“最具天才的青年演奏家”,小提琴大师里奇先生还亲切邀请他作为特邀嘉宾在自己85岁生日音乐会上同台献艺。

2000年,在穆特基金会资助下赴美国印第安那大学深造,师从已故小提琴家弗兰克·古力;同年,赴荷兰阿姆斯特丹音乐学院,师从著名小提琴家赫尔曼·克莱博斯。2000年4 月,陆威与著名小提琴演奏家穆特同台,在慕尼黑室内乐团协奏下合作演奏了巴赫“D大调双小提琴二重协奏曲”,受到媒体们的极高赞誉。2001年,陆威考入德国斯图加特音乐学院,师从原慕尼黑爱乐乐团首席英戈夫·托班。2004年4 月,陆威经过三轮激烈角逐,从众多竞争选手中脱颖而出,考取德意志交响乐团(原西柏林广播交响乐团,1993年更名)首席一职。5天后,他又以压倒性优势考取汉堡爱乐乐团17 次考试均无人考中的首席位置。陆威现任德意志交响乐团终身首席。

陆威4岁开始登台演出,他的音乐足迹遍及全球,曾在美国、加拿大、德国、英国、法国、意大利、奥地利、瑞士、西班牙、波兰、克罗地亚、爱沙尼亚、乌克兰、澳大利亚、日本、韩国、新加坡、马来西亚、巴西、阿根廷、香港、澳门、中国台湾和中国举办过各类音乐会,是唯一一位以独奏家身份多次在柏林爱乐大厅、维也纳金色大厅以及纽约卡内基音乐厅举行音乐会的中国小提琴家。

与他合作过的乐团包括柏林爱乐乐团、伦敦交响乐团、德意志交响乐团、 莱比锡布商大厦乐团、科隆西德广播交响乐团、德意志广播爱乐乐团(原萨尔州广播交响乐团)、慕尼黑室内乐团、德国巴登·符腾堡州室内乐团、苏格兰国家交响乐团、新加坡交响乐团、悉尼歌剧院交响乐团、美国凤凰城交响乐团、波兰国家广播交响乐团、日本仙台交响乐团、世界青年交响乐团、欧洲青年交响乐团、澳门乐团、中国交响乐团、中国爱乐乐团(理查·施特劳斯小提琴协奏曲中国首演)、上海交响乐团、上海广播交响乐团、中央歌剧院交响乐团、北京交响乐团、中央音乐学院EOS乐团(欣德米特小提琴协奏曲中国首演)等。

作为乐团首席的陆威,目前担任柏林爱乐乐团、伦敦交响乐团、莱比锡布商大厦乐团、加拿大蒙特利尔交响乐团、班贝格交响乐团、慕尼黑国家歌剧院、纽伦堡歌剧院等众多世界一流交响乐团及歌剧院的客座首席。2016年起受中国组织部“千人计划”邀请,担任中国交响乐团特邀乐团首席。

在众多独奏以及乐团演出外,自2005年起陆威作为首席兼艺术总监带领德意志交响乐团室内乐团在欧洲美洲亚洲多次举行音乐会。2015年,陆威组建了欧洲华人节日乐团,并每年在柏林爱乐音乐厅举办音乐会,曲目囊括了从巴洛克时代到现代派以及先锋派电子音乐等众多不同风格的曲目,得到了一致好评。自2009年起,陆威作为穆特室内乐团首席以及老师的身份,与穆特进行了多次世界巡演,走遍了欧美及亚洲所有大型的音乐节。

2008年,陆威与其它三位中国杰出音乐家组建了长城弦乐四重奏,致力于大量的音乐教育工作,并且录制了专辑——《死神与少女》以及《Tango》,其中《死神与少女》荣获台湾第65届传统与古典唱片奖之最佳演奏奖,《Tango》获2015年中国最佳弦乐四重奏专辑奖。目前陆威在多个音乐夏令营任教,并于2017年加盟欧共体青年交响乐团,成为该团成立40年来首位亚裔艺术指导。

打击乐:胡胜男

旅德打击乐演奏家 胡胜男

胡胜男是当今国际乐坛最活跃的打击乐独奏家之一,曾获2007年慕尼黑胡梅尔国际打击乐大赛金奖,及保加利亚国际打击乐大赛最高奖以及最佳定音鼓演奏奖,是迄今为止第一位在国际打击乐比赛中获得金奖的中国人,中国第一位获得博士学位的演奏家。胡胜男曾获柏林国家文化部颁发的“国际音乐家继承人”特殊荣誉奖和奥地利政府颁发的最高国家奖学金。现为中国星海音乐学院特聘教授。

作为职业打击乐独奏家,胡胜男曾受邀于德国德意志交响乐团、柏林音乐厅交响乐团、苏格兰国家交响乐团、俄罗斯国家交响乐团、保加利亚国家交响乐团、德国新布兰登堡州立交响乐团、德意志室内乐团、德国普鲁士交响乐团、新加坡交响乐团、奥地利铜管乐团、欧洲华人节日乐团以及中国国家交响乐团、中国爱乐乐团、上海交响乐团、中央音乐学院交响乐团等众多国内乐团。胡胜男的艺术足迹遍及全球,曾在德国“BADKISSINGEN”音乐节、卡塞尔音乐节、欧洲古典青年音乐节、“THE BEST OF BERLIN”音乐节、LINZ国际打击乐节、奥地利LEOBEN音乐节、法国国际打击乐节、慕尼黑现代音乐节,上海之春国际音乐节、北京现代音乐节、中央音乐学院音乐节等举办音乐会。

胡胜男童年时便显露出在音乐方面的特殊才能,曾就读于中央音乐学院附中,奥地利格拉茨国立音乐艺术表演大学,德国柏林“汉斯——艾斯勒”国立音乐大学以及奥地利莫扎特音乐学院,启蒙于母亲胡德静,后师从中国著名打击乐教育家赵纪,出国留学期间师从众多名师:打击乐泰斗Peter Sadlo,柏林爱乐定音鼓首席Rainer Seegers, 柏林爱乐打击乐首席Franz Schindlbeck,中国打击乐演奏家李飚及奥地利维也纳广播交响乐团定音鼓首席Gerald Fromme。

2017年胡胜男受邀担任欧洲青年古典音乐节(YOUG EURO CLASSIC)中德建交45周年专场音乐会的艺术总监,为中德文化交流做出了杰出贡献。在教育方面除了在国际比赛中担任评委以外,胡胜男还多次受到国内外著名音乐院校的邀请,举办了大量的大师班并频繁带领学生成功举行音乐会。

她的演出曾多次出现在奥地利ORF电视台,奥地利古典频道OE1电台,德国广播电台,中国中央电视台等电视广播媒体。她的音乐会被奥地利皇冠报评为“一场前所未有的打击乐盛宴”,柏林邮政早报称她的演奏为“一位魅力无穷的打击乐演奏家”。德国布兰登堡日报, 德国黑森州日报,中国音乐周报,中国乐器杂志,北京新京报,深圳日报等媒体也对胡胜男进行过多次采访报道。

2011年胡胜男发行了在德国录制完成的首张个人打击乐独奏专辑《who ist HU》。2014年第二张专辑“打击乐钢琴二重奏”在德国柏林西门子音乐厅录制完成。

作为打击乐演奏家,胡胜男演奏的打击乐器超过两百多种,无论是键盘类打击乐器,还是鼓类打击乐器,无论是亚洲欧洲还是拉丁美洲的打击乐器,她都等潇洒自如和绘声绘色地演奏。音乐会上的胡胜男,凭借其对打击乐的超然领悟、独具特色的演奏风格和似乎是与生俱来的超强舞台感染力,给观众和听众带来全新和奇妙的视觉和听觉体验和对打击乐器无穷魅力的新发现。

 


指挥:余隆

余隆是活跃于国际乐坛的最杰出的中国指挥家,被纽约时报誉为“中国古典音乐届最具影响力的人物”,现任北京国际音乐节艺术委员会主席和中国爱乐乐团艺术总监,上海交响乐团和广州交响乐团音乐总监,上海夏季音乐节的联合总监,以及香港管弦乐团首席客席指挥。余隆创办了北京国际音乐节并于1998年至2018年间担任其艺术总监。

在2019/20乐季中,除了在中国的演出,余隆将以客座指挥英国皇家爱乐乐团、纽约爱乐乐团、伯尔尼交响乐团,荷兰广播爱乐乐团,阿德莱德交响乐团、奥克兰爱乐乐团、台湾爱乐乐团以及新加坡交响乐团等。2019年夏天,余隆与上海交响乐团的巡演之旅至美国和欧洲等地,包括了BBC逍遥音乐节、爱丁堡国际艺术节、拉维尼亚艺术节,卢塞恩音乐节等。

2018年6月,余隆与德意志留声机(以下称“DG”)签署独家录音合约,成为DG旗下签约的第一位中国指挥家。作为2018/19乐季德意志留声机120周年庆典的一部分,余隆于18年10月在北京的紫禁城太庙指挥了一场盛大的启动音乐会,同台艺术家包括阿依达•加里芙琳娜和丹尼尔•特里福诺夫,该音乐会随后发行了唱片。

2008年,余隆指挥中国爱乐乐团作为首支中国乐团在梵蒂冈城保罗六世礼堂演出,教宗本笃十六世观看演出,成为令全世界瞩目的中西方文化交流盛事。2014年余隆率领中国爱乐乐团在英国BBC逍遥音乐节上演出,该音乐会的电视转播在英国收视率过百万,余隆和中国爱乐也成为了首位中国指挥和中国乐团登上这一舞台。

为了推动中国交响乐的宏观发展,余隆联合了上海交响乐团、上海音乐学院和纽约爱乐创建了中国首个乐队学院。他的前瞻性愿景着眼于向中国正在成长中的古典乐观众介绍重要的西方作品,包括瓦格纳的指环王系列、马勒系列,还有理查德•施特劳斯、本杰明•布里顿及其他作曲家作品。2014年,纽约爱乐乐团任命余隆为乐团国际顾问委员会荣誉成员。这一由12名成员组成的委员会是一个倡导者和大使们与各国个人和机构联结的关系网,以培养纽约爱乐长期在全球范围内的影响力。

余隆与广州交响乐团的初次合作是1993年,并于2003年成为该团音乐总监。任职期间余隆曾率领乐团赴欧洲和埃及巡演,在巴黎香榭丽舍剧院、卢森堡音乐学院、阿姆斯特丹音乐厅和开罗歌剧院演出。

余隆1964年出生于上海的音乐世家,自幼随外祖父、著名作曲家丁善德教授学习音乐。后求学于上海音乐学院和德国柏林高等艺术大学。1992年,余隆担任中央歌剧院首席指挥。同年,他参与创办了中国的新年音乐会系列,并连续三年担任指挥。1993年起,余隆连续五年为香港市政局指挥歌剧演出。

鉴于余隆在推动当今世界古典音乐事业发展和促进国际间文化交流方面所做的突出贡献,法国政府特别授予余隆“法兰西文学艺术骑士勋章”;2002年,德国万宝龙文化基金会向余隆颁发了年度“万宝龙卓越艺术成就奖”; 2005年,意大利总理贝鲁斯科尼向余隆颁发了“共和国骑士勋章”; 2014年,他获得象征着法国最高荣誉典属体系的荣誉军团骑士勋章;2015年,余隆荣获“全国优秀文学艺术工作者”荣誉称号,并获得由美国大西洋理事会颁发的“全球公民”奖,以及由耶鲁大学音乐学院颁发的“桑福德奖章”;2016年,余隆当选美国艺术与科学院外籍荣誉院士,并于同年被授予德意志联邦共和国十字勋章;2018年,余隆被香港演艺学院授予荣誉博士学位。

Wei Lu, Concertmaster of Deutsches Symphony Orchester Berlin,guest concertmaster of Berliner Philharmoniker,the first violinist who joins to the Anne-Sophie Mutter Foundation.

Wei Lu began learning the violin with his father at the age of three ,few years later he entered the Primary-middle school attached to the Central Conservatory of Music in Beijing and studied with Prof.Wang Zhilong and Lin Yaoji.

Wei Lu has been coached and praised by such world famous masters as Isaac Stern, Ruggiero Ricci, Itzhak Perlman, Salvatore Accardo, Igor Oistrakh, Ida Handel, Uto Ugi, Henry Meyer, Yuri Bashmet. In 1997, after attending his playing in Beijing, Anne-Sophie Mutter decided immediately to invite Wei Lu for further studies sponsored by her foundation,during the time for scholarship,  he studied with Prof. Franco Gulli in Indiana Bloominton, the United States, and Prof. Herman Krebbers in Amsterdam, Holland,and Prof.Ingolf Turban in Stuttgart conservatory of Music.

Wei Lu has held concerts and recitals in North and South American, Europe, Austrlian and Asia, performed as soloist with many world class orchestras as Deutsches Symphonie Orchester Berlin, London Symphony Orchestra, Royal Scotland National Orchestra. Nuernberg Opera House, Polish National Radio Symphony Orchestra, Singapore Symphony Orchestra, China National Symphony Orchestra and China Philharmonic. He is the one of few Violinist in the world who has performed as soloist in all of the main concert hall as Carnegie Hall, Musikverein Wien, Philharmonie Berlin and Sydney Opera House.

Wei Lu is the only Chinese violinist who became Guest Concertmaster of Berliner Philharmonic.Also he has been invited in many world class orchestra and opera house as London Symphony Orchestra,Gewandhaus Orchester Leipzig,Orchestre Symphonique de Montreal, Munich Opera House,Nuernberg Opera House, NDR Symphony Orchestra,Bamberg Symphony Orchestra and Asia Philamonie. Since 2009 Wei Lu start to give master class for solo and Chamber music in the Great Wall International Music Campel in Beijing and other Music Campels. From 2011 he played as chamber music partner and Concertmaster of “Mutter’s Vitrosi” with Anne Sophie Mutter touring all around the world including the citys as New 

York,Viener,Lucern,Munich,Chicago,Washington dc,Toronto,Beijing and Shanghai.

HU Shengnan, percussions

Born in Jiangsu province of China, Shengnan Hu showed an extraordinary talent in music in her early childhood and began to learn to play the piano at the age of five. Later on at the age of ten, she began to learn to play her second instrument xylophone. In 1996, Hu entered music school affiliated to the Central Music Academy of China in Beijing, where she majored in the performing art of Pression instruments with Mr. zhao ji. In 2002, Shengnan Hu was enrolled by China Central Academy of Music and at the same year, she entered Universität für Musik und darstellende Kunst Graz and studied with professor Gerald Fromme( principal timpani player of Vienna Radio Symphony Orchestra) and professor Ulrike Stadler,. Shengnan Hu was awarded the highest scholarship by the Austrian government and hailed to be one of the excellent students and the most promising percussionist of the Universität. In 2007, Shengnan Hu was enrolled by Hochschule fuer Musik "Hanns Eisler" Berlin, respectively studied with professor Li Biao, Rainer Seegers (principal timpani of Berlin Philharmonic)and Franz Schindlbeck(solo percussion of Berlin philharmonic), at same time, Hu also studing under Prof. Peter Sadlo in Mozarteum Salzburg for Master and graduated with performing art degree together with scholarship awarded by Berlin National Culture Foundation.

Shengnan Hu won many competition awards including the coveted gold prize at Hummel International Percussion Instrument Competition in Munich. silver prize and best timpanist at the International Percussion Instrument Competition in Bulgaria(gold prize at this competition was not given). 

Being a successful percussionist, Shengnan Hu can play over two hundred different percussion instruments, whether keyboard percussion instruments or drums from any parts of the world. Shengnan Hu’s concert always impressed the audience with her unique stage style and unique interpretation. She respectively played with many orchestras including Deutsche Symphonie Orchester, Royal Scottish National Orchestra, Konzertorchester Berlin, Neubrandenburger Philharmonie, Brandenburgisches Staatsorchester Frankfurt, Singapore Symphony Orchestra, China Philharmonie Orchester, China National Symphony Orchestra, Shanghai Symphony Orchestra, Shenzhen Symphony Orchestra, Sichuan Philharmonie Orchester, Plovdiv Philharmonic Orchestra, German Chamber Orchestra, Preussischen Chamber Orchester Germany, Austrian Brass Band, Percusemble Berlin and Percussion NOVA Graz . Hu Sheng Nan’s concerts have brought her to Germany, France, Slovenia, Italy, Austria, Algeria, Turkey and many more other countries. She was also frequently invited to give recitals at many music festivals such as BAD KISSINGEN and The Best of Berlin, Kassel Music Festival,Young Euro Classic Festival Berlin, Music Festival at Central Music Academy in Beijing, Linz International Percussion Music Festival, Leoben Music Festival. In 2008, Shengnan Hu was invited to play at the Closing Ceremony of Beijing Olympic 2008. She played in many well known concert halls as Berlin Philharmonic Concert Hall, Konzerthaus Berlin, Brandenburg Theater Germany, Berlin Music Conservatory Concert Hall and the concert hall of China Central Academy of Music.

She is the Founder and Artistic Director for "Cycle Percussion Berlin" , leader of the Workshop of Young Euro Classic Festival in Berlin and Kassel Music Festival.Since 2013, Shengnan HU start to give masterclasses regularly in China Consevatory,Shenyang Conservatory and Sichuan Conservatory. Shengnan Hu is professor at Xinghai Conservatory China since 2018. 

Live recordings of Shengnan Hu for many times were broadcasted by ORF, Classical Music Channel OE1 of Austria, German Radio and CCTV in China. Her concerts won many credits such as an unparalleled percussion music show by Austria Crown, a new rising percussionist star with big charm by Berlin Post and many more by Brandenburg Daily, China Music Weekly, China Instrument and Beijing Paper.

Who is Hu is Shengnan Hu’s debut CD released to honor herself at the time when she was awarded performing art degree. Hu is a magical spirit on the stage, her performance can bring tears and excitement out of the audience and Her music comes directly from the very bottom of her heart. She is very young but a very matured and pure true musician. She knows how to present the best music to her audience.

Hailed as the “most powerful figure in China’s classical music scene” by The New York Times, the preeminent Chinese conductor Long Yu holds positions as the Music Director of the Shanghai Symphony Orchestra, Artistic Director & Chief Conductor of the China Philharmonic Orchestra and Music Director of the Guangzhou Symphony Orchestra. He is also the Principal Guest Conductor of the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra. Maestro Yu is the Founder of the Beijing Music Festival and was its Artistic Director from 1998 to 2018. He is the Co-Director of the MISA Summer Festival in Shanghai.

In the 2019/20 season, alongside his work in China, Maestro Yu makes guest appearances across the globe, including with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, New York Philharmonic, Bern Symphony Orchestra, Netherlands Radio Philharmonic Orchestra, Adelaide Symphony Orchestra, Auckland Philharmonia, Taiwan Philharmonic and Singapore Symphony Orchestra. Summer 2019 saw Maestro Yu lead the Shanghai Symphony Orchestra on a tour of the USA and Europe, with orchestral debuts at London’s BBC Proms, Edinburgh International Festival, Wolf Trap, and Ravinia Festival in addition to performances at the Lucerne Festival, Grafenegg Festival and Amsterdam’s Concertgebouw.

In June 2018, Maestro Yu signed an exclusive recording contract with Deutsche Grammophon, which began a global release and distribution partnership. As part of the Deutsche Grammophon’s 120th anniversary celebrations in 2018/19, Maestro Yu conducted a spectacular launch concert in October at the site of Beijing’s historic Imperial Ancestral Temple at the Forbidden City, alongside artists such as Aida Garifullina and Daniil Trifonov.

Maestro Yu continues to collaborate frequently with many of the world’s most celebrated soloists such as Alison Balsom, Sumi Jo, Lang Lang, Yo-Yo Ma, Mischa Maisky, Maxim Vengerov and Yuja Wang.

In 2008, the China Philharmonic Orchestra under the baton of Maestro Long Yu became the first Chinese orchestra in history to perform at the Vatican in the Paul VI Auditorium. The concert was attended by Pope Benedict XVI and marked a giant step in bringing eastern and western cultures closer together. In 2014, Maestro Yu and the China Philharmonic became the first Chinese conductor and orchestra to play the fabled BBC Proms series with a televised performance at London’s Royal Albert Hall. The concert was viewed by millions of people across the United Kingdom.

Leading the development of orchestral landscape in China, Maestro Yu has created the nation’s first orchestral academy as a partnership between Shanghai Symphony Orchestra, Shanghai Conservatory, and the New York Philharmonic. His dynamic vision is focused on introducing China’s growing audiences to key Western repertoire including Wagner’s Ring Cycle, Mahler Cycle, as well as works of Richard Strauss, Benjamin Britten, and many others. In 2014, the New York Philharmonic named Maestro Yu an honorary member of their International Advisory Board. The 12-member Board serves as a network of advocates and ambassadors connecting with individuals and institutions in their home countries to cultivate the Philharmonic’s long-term reach and influence worldwide.

Maestro Yu made his debut with the Guangzhou Symphony Orchestra in 1993 and in 2003 became Music Director of the orchestra. During his time as Music Director, Maestro Yu has embarked on European and Egyptian tours with the orchestra, performing at Théâtre des Champs-Élysées in Paris, Conservatoire de Luxembourg, Concertgebouw Amsterdam and Cairo Opera House.

Born in 1964 into a musical family in Shanghai, Maestro Yu received his early musical education from his grandfather Ding Shande, a composer of great renown, and went on to study at the Shanghai Conservatory and the Hochschule der Kunst in Berlin. In 1992, he was appointed Principal Conductor of the Central Opera Theatre in Beijing and served as its conductor for three consecutive years. He created opera productions for The Urban Council of Hong Kong for five successive years.

Maestro Yu is a Chevalier dans L’Ordre des Arts et des Lettres and the recipient of the 2002 Arts Patronage Award of the Montblanc Cultural Foundation. In 2005, the Italian government honored Maestro Yu with the title of L’onorificenza di commendatore. He was awarded France's highest honor of merit by joining la Légion d’Honneur in 2014. The following year, Maestro Yu was awarded the prestigious Global Citizen Award from the Atlantic Council and the Samuel Simons Sanford Award from Yale’s School of Music in America. Most recently, he was elected a Foreign Honorary Member of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences and also awarded the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany. In 2018, Long Yu was conferred an Honorary Doctorate from The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts. Long Yu is currently Vice President of the Chinese Musicians Association.
