导赏2016年适逢伟大的俄罗斯作曲家肖斯塔科维奇110周年诞辰。中国爱乐乐团在2016-2017音乐季中,将在年轻指挥家黄屹的率领下,用肖氏伟大的第五交响曲来纪念这位在音乐史上具有独特地位的伟人。肖斯塔科维奇的一生经历坎坷,这部第五交响曲真实地记载了他在最为困难的特殊时期里的真实感受。这正如肖斯塔科维奇后来在自传里描述这首作品时所写的那样,要写勇敢的乐曲;而之所以勇敢,在于它的真实!当这首堪称勇敢的交响曲在1937年由穆拉文斯基指挥的列宁格勒交响乐团(现在的圣彼得堡爱乐)举行首演时,在场的听众激动地鼓掌欢呼长达半个小时,他们听明白了音乐中所包含的每一个信息,之后这部作品被千千万万的乐迷所热爱,其最重要的原因在于音乐中的真实与恐惧从来都是活生生地在每一个有良知者的内心存在。

同样将在本场音乐会中上演的,还包括了两位中国当代著名作曲家的作品,两部作品分别是陈其钢的《失乐园》与陈怡为本场音乐会全新创作的钢琴协奏曲,担任钢琴部分演奏的是著名华人钢琴家杨慧(Clara Yang)——出道甚早的杨慧多年来活跃于美国乐坛,虽然鲜有在国内露面的机会,却早已凭借其艺术造诣获得了音乐界的交口称赞,由她来担任陈怡全新力作的世界首演,无疑将会是令人期待的。(柯辉,中国瓦格纳协会秘书长)

美国华裔钢琴家杨慧曾被《号角》杂志称赞为“从不惧怕挑战的第一流钢琴家”,如今担任美国北卡罗来纳大学教堂山分校钢琴助理教授。她曾与许多一流乐团与指挥家一起合作,如弗拉基米尔·阿什肯纳齐指挥的欧盟青年乐团,杰夫·蒂齐克指挥的伊斯曼爱乐乐团,卡尔·圣·克莱尔指挥的太平洋交响乐团,以及与格兰特·莱维林指挥的北卡罗来纳交响乐团的多次合作等。《纽约艺术》将她描述为“一位饱受赞誉的独奏钢琴家……杨慧在技巧上举重若轻,平顺自如”。杨慧曾获得许多殊荣,其中包括因最新的钢琴独奏专辑《折叠时间》而荣获的美国全球音乐奖金牌,该专辑于2015年由Albany唱片公司发行。她曾经在许多顶尖的音乐厅演出,其中包括了纽约卡内基音乐厅,悉尼塞摩尔中心,纽约罗切斯特市伊斯曼剧场,北卡罗来纳州卡罗莱纳表演艺术中心,芝加哥文化中心米拉·海丝女士系列音乐会,以及巴塞罗那历史博物馆的“Mas i Mas”系列音乐会等。她在中国《环球》杂志2014年的一篇文章中被列举为三位学者之一。

杨慧博士出生于天津,13岁时跟随家庭移居加利福尼亚州。她在同年及大学前的主要老师包括了汉斯·波培尔教授、周广仁、李惠莉与谢元等。她以优异表彰从南加州大学毕业,师从杰出的教育家约翰·佩里,此后在耶鲁大学跟随传奇钢琴家克劳德·弗兰克学习并取得艺术家文凭,在伊斯曼音乐学院获得钢琴演奏博士学位。她在伊斯曼音乐学院期间跟随著名教育家奈丽塔·特鲁学习,并担任后者的助教。

杨慧博士经常与美国及海外的著名作曲家合作。在这个音乐季里,她将演奏陈怡的《四灵》(2016年)在美国的首演,这部作品时专门为她创作的,中国爱乐乐团将在著名指挥家余隆的率领下担任伴奏,本场演出将于2016年12月在卡罗莱纳表演艺术系列音乐会中呈现。此外,她还将于2017年在作曲家菲利普·格拉斯80岁生日庆典上演奏他的部分钢琴练习曲,作曲家本人以及许多其它著名艺术家都将出席。

杨慧博士与曾获格莱美奖的录音工程师马修·斯奈德合作,为Albany唱片公司录制了专辑《折叠时间》,其中包括了委约作曲家杨智华创作的《枫桥夜泊》,以及纽约作曲家蒂莫·安德斯的作品《我如何在你的灵感世界中生存》的首份商业录音。这张专辑获得了包括《纽约艺术》、《美国唱片指南》以及《号角》等媒体的一致称赞。在作曲家李·威瑟特为新焦点唱片公司录制的专辑《Wild Arc》中,杨慧演奏了作曲家专门为她创作的作品《Érard》。2015年她有幸成为美国新音乐协会艺术家委员会的成员,这是一个致力于推广新音乐的重要机构。此外,她与屡获殊荣的洛杉矶歌剧院大提琴家郑晓丹合作录制的大提琴、钢琴二重奏专辑《格里格与普罗科菲耶夫》于2014年推出,该专辑在美国多家广播电台播出。她的独奏音乐会录音在澳大利亚与新西兰ABC古典调频、芝加哥98.7WFMT以及在美国多个州的电视台播放的韦恩·皮恰诺《三角钢琴》系列中进行播出。

杨慧博士作为客席音乐家在世界各地许多重要的音乐学院与大学演出。其中包括了莫斯科柴可夫斯基音乐学院、伦敦国王学院、西班牙利塞奥音乐学院、中央音乐学院、上海音乐学院以及中央音乐学院鼓浪屿钢琴学校演出。她在许多著名音乐节演出,其中包括西部音乐学院、萨拉索塔音乐节、荷兰国际音乐节以及阿斯本音乐节等。作为一位受欢迎的钢琴教师,杨慧博士在美国及海外的许多顶尖大学及音乐学院频繁举办大师班。她的学生多次赢得州级、全国性以及国际性赛事奖项。

本场音乐会是杨慧第一次与中国爱乐乐团合作。


指挥:黄屹 

黄屹是当今国际乐坛最受瞩目的青年指挥家之一,现任中国爱乐乐团助理指挥。

2006年以优异的成绩考入中央音乐学院指挥系,师从杨力教授。2007年至今师从著名指挥家俞峰教授。

2009年,通过世界著名指挥大师小泽征尔先生的亲自选拔,成为其音乐助理。

2010年,以优异的成绩被中央音乐学院指挥系保送免考成为硕士研究生.

2011年以专业第一名考入德国柏林音乐学院(Hochschule für Musik "Hanns Eisler"),师从交响乐教授克里斯蒂安 艾华德(Christian Ehwald),歌剧教授汉斯迪特 鲍姆( Hans-Dieter Baum )学习。

2012年,在第15届北京国际音乐节成功执棒中国爱乐乐团演出歌剧《原野》。

2013年,作为世界著名指挥家克里斯蒂安 蒂勒曼(Christian Thielemann)的助理指挥,参与2013年萨尔茨堡复活节音乐节歌剧《帕西法尔》的排练及演出。

2013年,作为指挥家古斯塔夫 库恩(Gustav Kuhn)的助理指挥,参与排练及演出了第16届北京国际音乐节闭幕式中国首演的瓦格纳歌剧《帕西法尔》。

曾执棒德国柏林音乐厅管弦乐团、德国法兰克福交响乐团、德国勃兰登堡交响乐团、德国新勃兰登堡交响乐团、小泽征尔音乐塾管弦乐团、韩国釜山爱乐乐团、中国爱乐乐团、上海交响乐团、广州交响乐团、杭州爱乐乐团、中国少年交响乐团、昆明聂耳交响乐团、澳门青年交响乐团、中国广播电影交响乐团等。

近年来,与歌唱家张立萍、袁晨野、梁宁、张建一、沈洋、演奏家艾丽森 巴尔松、张昊辰、文薇、杨雪霏等有过成功合作。

Praised by Fanfare as “a first-rate pianist who isn’t afraid of challenges,” Chinese-American pianist Clara Yang (杨慧) is currently Assistant Professor of Piano at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She performed as a soloist with renowned orchestras and conductors such as the European Union Youth Orchestra under Vladimir Ashkenazy, the Eastman Philharmonia under Jeff Tyzik, the Pacific Symphony Orchestra under Carl St. Clair, and the North Carolina Symphony under Grant Llewellyn in numerous performances. New York Arts describes her as “a highly acclaimed recitalist… Clara Yang’s technique was effortless and smooth.”  An Award-winning pianist, she won a Global Music Awards Gold Medal in the United States for her newest solo piano album Folding Time, which was released by Albany Records in 2015. She has performed in notable venues and series such as Carnegie Hall (New York, U.S.), the Seymour Centre (Sydney, Australia), the Eastman Theater (Rochester, New York), the Carolina Performing Arts series, (North Carolina, U.S.), the Dame Myra Hess series (Chicago Cultural Center, U.S.), and the Mas i Mas series at the Museu d’Història de Barcelona (Barcelona, Spain). She was featured as one of the three scholars in an article in the Chinese magazine Globe (环球) in 2014.  

Dr. Yang was born in Tianjin and moved to California with her family at age 13. Her former principal teachers during her childhood and pre-college years include Profs. Hans Boepple, Zhou Guang-ren (周广仁), Huili Li (李惠莉), and Xie Yuan (谢元).  She graduated magna cum laude from the University of Southern California as a student of the eminent pedagogue John Perry. She studied with the legendary pianist Claude Frank at the Yale School of Music (M.M., Artist Diploma). She received her D.M.A. in piano performance at the Eastman School of Music, where she was a student and teaching assistant of the renowned pedagogue Nelita True. 

Dr. Yang regularly collaborates with renowned composers in the U.S. and abroad. In the current season, she will perform the U.S. premiere of the distinguished composer Chen Yi’s Four Spirits (2016), which was written for her, with the China Philharmonic Orchestra under the renowned conductor Long Yu in the Carolina Performing Arts series in December 2016. She will also perform Phillip Glass’s selected etudes along with the composer himself and other well-known artists in celebration for Glass’s 80th birthday in 2017. 

Dr. Yang worked with Grammy Award-winning recording engineer Matthew Snyder for her solo piano album Folding Time (Albany Records). It features a commissioned work titled 枫桥夜泊 by composer Phil Young (杨智华) and a first commercial recording of  How can I live in your world of ideas by New York composer Timo Andres. This album received rave reviews from New York Arts, American Record Guide, and Fanfare. She recorded composer Lee Weisert’s Érard, which was written for her, for Weisert’s album Wild Arc on the New Focus label. In 2015 she was honored to serve on the Artistic Panel for New Music USA, a major organization that promotes new music. In addition, her cello-piano duo album Grieg and Prokofiev (Albany Records) with award-winning Los Angeles Opera cellist Xiao-Dan Helen Zheng (郑晓丹) was released in 2014. It has been aired on numerous radio stations across the United States. Her live solo recitals and performances were broadcast on ABC Classic FM in Australia and New Zealand, 98.7 WFMT (Chicago), and on Wayne Picciano's "Grand Piano" series, which was broadcast on television in multiple states across the country.

As a guest artist, Dr. Yang has given successful solo recitals in numerous major conservatories and universities internationally, including the Musical College of the Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory in Russia, King’s College London, the Liceu Conservatory in Spain, the Beijing Central Conservatory, the Shanghai Conservatory, and the Central Conservatory Piano Academy in Xiamen, China.  She has performed in renowned music festivals such as the Music Academy of the West, the Sarasota Music Festival, the International Holland Music Sessions, and the Aspen Music Festival. A sought-after teacher, Dr. Yang has frequently given masterclasses in the United States and abroad in major universities and conservatories. Her students have won prizes in state, national, and international competitions.


HUANG YI,Conductor

Mr. Huang Yi is an extraordinary young Chinese conductor .

Mr. Huang was admitted into the Faculty of Conducting of China’s Central Conservatory of Music (CCM) with excellent academic scores in 2006, under the instruction of Professor Yang Li. From 2007 on, Mr. Huang has been instructed by noted conductor Professor Yu Feng.

2009, he was handpicked by the world renowned conductor Seiji Ozawa as his music assistant. 

2010, Mr. Huang proudly became a recommended student for the Postgraduate Program of the Conservatory with an authorized waiver of the Entrance Exam. 

2011, he admitted to Hochschule für Musik "Hanns Eisler" Berlin in first class for master study majored in conducting, following Professor Christian Ehwald and Professor Hans-Dieter Baum.

2012, conducting China Philharmonic Orchestra at the 15th Beijing Music Festival's new production of the Chinese Opera “The Savage Land.”

2013, as assistant conductor at the 16th Beijing Music Festival co-production with Salzburg Easter Festival of the “Parsifal”.

Mr. Huang has conducted the Konzerthausorchester Berlin, the Frankfurt Symphony Orchestra, the Brandenburg Symphony Orchestra, the New Brandenburg Symphony Orchestra, the Seiji Ozawa Ongaku-Juku Symphony Orchestra, the Korea Pusan Philharmonic Orchestra, the China Philharmonic Orchestra, the Shanghai Symphony Orchestra,the Guangzhou Symphony Orchestra, Hangzhou Philharmonic Orchestra, the Nie’Er Symphony Orchestra, the China Juvenile Symphony Orchestra, etc. 

Recently, Mr. Huang has collaborated with the famous Chinese soprano Liping Zhang, baritone Chenyan Yuan, mezzo-soprano Ning Liang, tenor Jianyi Zhang, bass-baritone Shen Yang, pianist Haochen Zhang, trumpet soloist Alison Balsom, Violinist Wei Wen and guitarist Xuefei Yang.
